Post 2423 Veterans salute at Arlington National Cemetery

Post 2423 members feeding homeless in Charlotte.

Post Member Scott Hood playing Taps at Antietam National Cemetery.

Post members have traveled together on two different trips.  In 2011 we went to Washington D.C. to visit the Vietnam Wall, Korean and WWII Memorials and Arlington Cemetery.  In 2013 we visited Gettysburg, Harpers Ferry and Antietam.  Plans are being made for future trips.

Our post currently has over 350 members.  We have a Honor/Color Guard, VFW Riders, Mens Auxiliary and a very active  Auxiliary.  From building ramps for disabled veterans, honoring a veteran with a military funeral or fixing a meal for the VA patients, our post offers many opportunities to support our veterans.

what are we about?

We are committed to helping those Veterans in need and honoring those that are no longer with us.  Most of the public think that a VFW Post is nothing more than a "beer joint".  We are not that Post.  We are very active in our community and are greateful for the support we have received.
